“Now then, why do you try to test
God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our
ancestors have been able to bear?
No! We believe it is through the
grace of our Lord Jesus that we are
saved, just as they are.”

They were
appointed, along with some other
believers, to go up to Jerusalem to
see the apostles and elders about
this question of circumcision of the Gentiles.

The people teaching the believers told them that if they were not circumcised, this would happen

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever
curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be
blessed through you”

He stood up and addressed the assembly saying We believe it is through
the grace of our Lord Jesus that we
are saved, just as they are

Peter addressed them saying now then, why do
you try to test God by putting this on the
necks of Gentiles that neither
we nor our ancestors have been able
to bear?

“If you belong to Christ, then you are
Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to
the promise”

The Pharisees said that ‘he Gentiles must
be circumcised and required to
keep the law of this person

Peter said that it is through this that both Gentiles and Jews are saved
