A new FRG leader would like to increase her knowledge of ACS programs.

A PFC reports to front desk staff that his wife had an unexpected medical procedure that will require a long recovery. He reports they have three small children and he cannot afford the childcare fees for all three. Prior to the procedure, his wife worked weekends and some evenings to supplement the family’s income. Unfortunately they no longer have that additional income.

A 1SG escorts a female Soldier to ACS and reports to front desk staff that she is a victim of domestic violence and her daughter, who has a special need, has also experienced child abuse. The 1SG reports the Soldier needs help securing alternative housing for herself and the child. The civilian spouse refuses to leave the home and the Soldier cannot move a child into the barracks. The 1SG also mentions that the spouse was a stay at home dad and the Soldier would now need to secure childcare. The Soldier stated she cannot afford childcare and her husband controls their finances. She reports that her spouse stayed home to provide for their child’s special needs.

This campaign runs from 1 March through 15 May as a way to raise awareness and funds that help Soldiers and Families during emergencies.

SPC Campbell reports to AER requesting a loan to pay overdue bills. He reports that his wife spends the bill money and is violent when he tries to talk to her about their finances. As you talk with SPC Campbell you notice scratches on his neck.

Mr. Franklin reports to ACS following the death of his husband, SFC Franklin. SFC Franklin retired at Fort Campbell five years ago. Due to the unexpected death, he is unsure what to do.

This is a platform to voice quality-of-life issues, feedback, ideas, and suggestions to Army leadership. It is the best way to let leadership know what works, what doesn’t and how you think problems can be resolved.

SSG Smith seems to be under a great deal of stress at work. She came into AER due to three bounced checks she has written over the last two weeks. During your meeting with her, she mentions that she often leaves work to address school concerns for her 6 year old son who was diagnosed with Autism. She also has 2 year old and 8 month old daughters. Smith recently divorced her husband and is trying to manage the children and household on her own.

Mrs. Jones came to the Lending Closet and while there discussed concerns about her marriage. She reported that her husband is drinking heavily and often becomes very angry when drunk. He is reportedly throwing things around the house. PVT Jones and his wife are both 18 years old and they have a set of 18 month old twins. The unit is preparing for a deployment and Mrs. Jones admits to arguing with her husband over the deployment and his long work hours. They also argue over how to discipline the children and household chores.

4. Mrs. Young was brought to ACS by a friend. She is a new military spouse and is pregnant. This is her husband’s first duty station. He works long hours and she is tired of sitting around the house. She would like to enroll in college but does not believe they have the money to pay for tuition. Mrs. Young would also like to look for a job but does not know where to start. She fears she lacks skills necessary to obtain employment since she has never worked. Mrs. Young is open gaining work experience through a volunteer position as well.

Though October is well known for Breast Cancer Awareness, FAP and EFMP also lead campaigns during this month. What are those awareness topics?

A platoon sergeant reports that he was visiting one of his young Soldier's home, when he took note of how overwhelmed the family of six was with balancing family life.

SGT Jackson is interested in purchasing a new-used vehicle, and financing a new heat-pump system for his home. Both items have contracts with legal jargon and details that he is unfamiliar with. SGT Jackson wants to be sure he understands what he is getting into before he signs the contracts.

April is a busy month for EFMP, FAP, MWR, and SHARP. What are the four awareness campaigns they lead during April?

A new Gold Star spouse comes to ACS seeking assistance. She reports that she has not heard from the Casualty Assistance Officer assigned to assist her for two weeks and she has questions about her benefits and she can not remember all the information she was briefed on when her husband was initially killed.

A Soldier comes to the main ACS building. He is frustrated and seeking assistance with incorrect information that he says Family Advocacy put into his records and now he is unable to perform his job.
