What is domestic freight
freight that is only moved in the United States

What is "We are in a contract"
Zach I totally understand. More often than not freight contracts are volume-based pricing agreements. It's no different than UPS or FedEx small parcel where you can earn into a higher discount tier with the more volume you give them. Typically, you can vacate a contract or agreement if you give them 30 days written notice, so that said I'd love to get time in your schedule. Does tomorrow at 2:00 PM work for you?

What is "Send me an email objection"
I’d be happy to do that, but typically when someone tells me to just email them general info, it’s more of a polite brush off and doesn’t go anywhere. I value my time as much as you and I wouldn’t be asking for a meeting with you if I didn’t think it was worth my own time too. I’ll be able to tell you much more about Priority1 and the value we can specifically provide to your company during a quick meeting after getting to know your process better. If you’re not totally opposed to that, how does tomorrow at 2PM work for you?

What is "I don't have time for freight"
I can completely understand that. I will just tell you that your company fits a profile that we have had a great deal of success working with. We’ve been able to save companies very similar to yours 5-8% on average on their annual freight costs. I’ve got to imagine saving north of 5% from having a 15-minute conversation would be worth your time. Does Wednesday at 2:00 PM work for you?

What is "We had a bad experience with a broker"
I completely understand what you’re saying. I would encourage you not to let 1 or 2 bad experiences with other brokers sway your decision this time around. I’m sure you’ve used some bad carriers in the past too, but that doesn’t mean that all carriers are bad because you’re using better carriers now. It works the same way with Brokers. There are a lot of bad brokers out there just like
12 there are a lot of bad carriers, but we work differently than they do just like Old Dominion works differently than Central Transport. I am also very confident that I can help you out operationally and financially compared to the Direct Carriers you’re using now. Again, your company fits a profile I’ve had a lot of success with; all I need is 15-20 minutes of your time. Does tomorrow at 2:00 PM work for you? |
What is "Close the deal/Meeting Everyone Involved"
Paper Close/Introduce to the AP

What is "3rd party insurance"

What is "Hot Shot"

What is NDA

|
What is "Happy with our current provider"
I can appreciate what you’re saying. (Insert Competitor) is a great company. That said, the majority of my clients didn’t change over to me because their current vendor was doing anything wrong, they were just a better fit for my company and what we offer. I’ve gone against (competitor name) many times and we are almost always able to help companies from a financial standpoint. I only need 15-20 minutes of your time. Does Tuesday at 2:00 PM work for you?

What is "the meeting opener"
We’re a domestic freight company specializing in LTL, Full Truckload and Expedited freight.
Today, we manage over $1B in domestic transportation and still operate as a privately held entity. Our Parent Company, Priority Wire and Cable, has managed their own complex, multi-million-dollar supply-chain operation for more than 27 years. Having that background as a shipper gives us a unique perspective to the pain points that companies like yours face every day. My goal today is to get a full understanding of your supply chain and operations so we can identify opportunities where Priority1 can bring true value to your organization. Assuming those opportunities exist, we will assess your current freight spend and discuss next steps from there. Does that make sense? |
What is "FFBA"
Free Freight Bill Audit -
On average 20% of LTL shipments in the industry are hit with some sort of back-end fee or discrepancy. To combat this, Priority1 offers a Free Freight Bill Audit. What this means is that if your invoice comes back different than what you were originally quoted, it is flagged in our system, and we hold the invoice. At that point, our system will email to notify you of the billing discrepancy. If it turns out the charge was expected, like adding in a last-minute pallet, we will pass it through and invoice you for the new amount. If the charge is potentially invalid, such as a re-weigh or re-class, we will give you the opportunity to dispute it. That said, we take more of a proactive approach rather than a reactive approach when it comes to billing discrepancies. Essentially, you’ll never receive an invoice from Priority1 that doesn’t match what you were originally quoted without hearing from me first. |
