What is a cataract?
An opacity of the lens leading to loss of vision yet correctable with surgery. Breeds predisposed include: Cocker Spaniels, Boston Terriers, Golden Retrievers and Labradors.

What is prolapsed third eyelid gland/cherry eye?
Red "mass like structure" abnormally protruding from the deial canthus causing conjunctivitis and discharge and generally occurring in breeds such as English Bulldog, Chihuahua, and Rottweilers that are less than 2 years of age.

What is glaucoma?
Very painful, sometimes globe enlarging disease causing episcleral congestion, mydriasis, corneal edema and eventually blindness. Seen in breeds such as Basset Hound, Cocker Spaniel, Chow, Beagle and Shar Pei.

What is Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye)?
Common presentations include large amounts of mucopurulent discharge, epislceral congestion, corneal vascularization and pigment occurring in Yorkshire Terriers, English Bulldogs, Cocker Spaniels and Chihuahuas.

What is a lens luxation?
A break down of zonules causes this condition defined as anterior or posterior depending on where it ends up. Common in Terrier breeds.
