What is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy?
CBT is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion) and how we act (behavior) all interact together. Specifically, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior- and the cycle continues.

Exposure Therapy is slowly putting yourself in situations that are uncomfortable or frightening to you, so you can gain insight and grow each time you put yourself out there.

What is an External or an Internal Trigger?
An Internal trigger could be not sleeping well, hormones, hunger or loneliness
An External Trigger could be anything or anyone or anyplace or situation that impacts you negatively. |
What is Restructuring Reframing thoughts?
being aware of your thoughts and exploring where they come from and if that story is true, then altering the story if the thoughts are not factual

What is the difference between good and bad stress?
good stress pushes our bodies and minds in positive ways, like exercise or a math test
bad stress is chronic and comes from negative stress such as poverty and daily life activities. |
What are automatic thoughts?
When you have the same thoughts over and over, your brain begins to tune them out. These are called automatic thoughts. Automatic thoughts are like a sound you can hear, but don’t usually notice, such as the hum of a refrigerator.
