What is the shutter button?
The button that you press to take a picture

What is color balance?
The temperature of the image (sometimes too cool, or blue, sometimes too warm, or red). This can be adjusted in Photoshop to make the image look correct, or to add creative effects.

What is the self-timer?
The option used when you want to take a photo of yourself using a 2, 5, or 10 second delay.

What is a lens?
The piece of glass and plastic that attaches to the camera body. It is measured in millimeters, comes in different sizes. Light passes through it to reach the camera.

The tool that trims the edges of a photo, can also be used to change the size of the photo.

The term for allowing your camera to collect lots of light by leaving the shutter open, usually over a long duration of time.
