Rumors start with one person who tells another person something that they saw, heard, assumed or made up. Then that person tells another and it begins to circulate

Dishonesty, disrespectful, rude, bullying, always arguing, not understanding of each others feelings, no compromise, etc.

Scared of the dark, of animals, bugs, heights, the doctor, loud noises, silence, strangers, etc.

Homes, schools, parks, stores, hospitals, restaurants, shelters, beach, mountains, etc.
What are some places to be thankful for?

Rumors can be false. They can be hurtful, cause anger and other retaliating behaviors. They can also ruin friendships, relationships and reputations
How do rumors affect you or those around you?

To make a person feel good - to not hurt them, for a surprise party, when keeping someone secret, for safety reasons, etc.
When is it OK to tell lies?

Abuse - physical and mental, no trust, no honesty, no respect and bad communication skills.

To intentionally hurt someone, to lie on purpose, to get out of trouble, lying about grades, lying about breaking something, etc.
When is it NOT OK to tell lies?

Communication is important because the more you communicate, the better you understand one another and the less major conflicts you will have. Constant communication and talking it out is how we show respect, trust and honesty to our friends/partners.
Why is communication important in any relationship, whether it is a friendship or one more than that?

Use coping skills, ask for help, talk to someone and come up with ways to overcome those feelings. Remember it's okay to have fears.

Tell the person using your words, show it with your actions and doing the little things that come from your heart.

It makes trusting others more difficult, it can hurt your feelings and others' feelings and cause tension between people, it can also become a bad habit
How can lies affect us all?

A healthy friendship/relationship means learning about the other person and valuing what’s important to them, what they like. With trust, you know you can count on that person and you can say anything to them because they will understand you.
