UDP port 514
What's the protocol and port number for the communication between TCAM Agent and AMD?
|
communication port
capture port
List two kind of network interface of AMD. How many of them does AMD need?
|
#rtminst
How to initially set up and configure the AMD.
|
Operation time = server time + network time + HTTP/Redirect time
How to calculate Operation time?
|
No TCAM agents installed.
In the CAS report, customer cannot see data for CPU, memory, and disk utilization.
What could be the problem? |
No, the capture port doesn't need IP address.
We need to setup IP address for all the ports after the AMD installation.
|
In AMD console: #rcon --> lapp
#rcmd lapp
List the two way to check application in AMD.
|
We need to define a separate software service for each port in order to see them individually.
If one IP address has multiple ports, what we need to do to see their performance?
|
Independent Computing Architecture
Thin Client Analysis Module Windows Terminal Service
What's the full name of "ICA", "TCAM" and "WTS".
|
custom and native
Custom driver ignores packets that do not match a software service for monitoring. Native Linux drivers requires more CPU utilization to filter out traffic not being analyzed.
What are the two kind of specify driver mode. What's the feature of them?
|
'greenmouse'
kickstart #passwd
What's the password for 'root' by default in AMD? How is it defined? Can we change it after the installation?
|
"End to End RTT" - Only calculated at the beginning of the three way handshake.
"End to End ACK RTT" - Calculated during during the communication.
What's the difference between "End to End RTT" and "End to End ACK RTT"?
|
True
One AMD can monitor more than one Citrix/WTS machines. True or False?
|
No. We have to reinstall the OS with the kickstart file.
A customer has a machine which is running RHEL 5, he wants to use this machine as AMD without reinstall the OS.
Can we install AMD directly on it? |
Primary performance files are the zdata* file for the CAS and vdata*files for the ADS.
They are created every 5 minutes. Retains 8 days worth of data files for the CAS and ADS which is configurable. /var/spool/adlex/rtm
What's the two kind of performance files stored in AMD.
How often they are created. How long they can be stored in AMD by default. What's the path of them AMD? |
Client sets this in TCP header when it wants the other side to slow down with data transmission because it cannot keep up with the transmission speed.
What does "Zero window size events" mean?
Does it affect the network time and server time? |
In AMD Configuration window
Advanced ➤User-IP mapping ➤ Listening --Enable session client name mapping timeout --Enable UDP Server listening checkbox --Select "citrixParser" in the Class Parsing dropdown
Introduce the AMD configuration in RUM Console after the installation of TCAM.
|
watchdog - simply verifies the core service is running.
rtm - calculates and creates performance information data files. rtmgate - allows the CAS/ADS to establish an HTTP(s) session to the AMD cba - guided configuration connect between RUM Concole and AMD
List 5 main AMD system services running on AMD and tell the responsibility of them.

compuware
vantage /usr/adlex/config/rtm.config
When you add AMD in RUM Console, what't the default Authentication (username and password) by default?
Where you can change it? |

What's the difference between "Availability (total)", "Availability (application)", "Availability (TCP)" and "Availability (transport)"?
